Oakland Stroke faithfully recreates the music of fabled Bay area soul band Tower of Power with all the funk, the excitement and the soul. Based in Toronto, Oakland Stroke is led by Lou Pomanti, one of Canada’s most accomplished producers, composers, musicians and musical directors.

The band is made up of 10 of Canada’s best musicians with Lou Pomanti (organ), Tony Carlucci and Chris Howells (trumpet), George St. Kitts (vocals), John Johnson and John Panchyshyn (tenor sax), Steve Lucas (bass), Lou Bartolomucci ( guitar), Simon Wallis (baritone sax), Steve Heathcote ( drums) and Anthony Crea (sound).
