Hosted by Cameron Smillie, co-founder of Live at the Hippo Pool Events Inc., presenting performing arts events in theatres across southwestern Ontario. Ian Thomas: A Life in Song Musician and author Ian Thomas rose to international fame with his 1973 hit song, Painted Ladies. During an illustrious career he’s earned a Juno Award, the prestigious UNICEF Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award and the SOCAN National Achievement Award for song writing. His songs have had additional success with international artists such as Bette Midler, Santana, Manfred Mann, America, Chicago, Bon Jovi and Anne Murray. Thomas will discuss his musical journey, life as a writer and his recent works with host Cameron Smillie. Presented by Meaford Hall.
